PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man is facing criminal charges after he remained in an apartment after the resident went to rehab, while also using the man’s car and debit cards. The Paintsville Lady Tigers picked up a convincing 58-35 win over Russell at home Tuesday night. Paintsville had two players finish in double figures, led by dual-sport standout Kylie Kinner. Kinner put together a big night, scoring 30 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. INEZ, Ky. — A Martin County man was arrested after police found three dead dogs tied up behind his home. Phillip Butcher, 73, of Inez, is charged with three counts of second-degree cruelty to animals. According to the police report, deputes were called to check on the dogs and found them dead. Butcher told officers the dogs belonged to his ex-girlfriend and she had left them there.
