Former clinic owners charged in federal drug conspiracy
FRANKFORT, Ky. — One of the owners of a defunct Pikeville pain management clinic has pleaded guilty to a federal drug conspiracy charge, while his former partner faces an indictment of her own. Bryce Layne May, 58, of Ashville, N.C., appeared in Frankfort federal court Wednesday to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. May was partners with Brandy Melissa Meadows, 47, of Pikeville, in the operation of the now-closed Kentucky Mountain Health clinic on Hibbard Street in Pikeville. Johnson woman facing drug trafficking charges after getting pulled over for not signaling
BANNER, Ky. — A Johnson County woman is facing multiple drug trafficking charges, after she was pulled over for not using her turn signal. A Floyd County sheriff’s deputy spotted a 2004 Lincoln Navigator turning onto Prater Creek from U.S. 23 without signaling, so he pulled it over. When he spoke to the driver, Kimberly Marie Osborne, 46, of Tutor Key, he spotted a used meth pipe in the vehicle. The deputy then searched the vehicle and found vacuum-sealed bags of meth, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms, a bag of fentanyl, and more than $1,100 in cash. Osborne was arrested and […]
